Graft, 2006
£300(f)

23x18cm
Pencil and wool on paper

This is a detail of a stool in Hospitalfield House where the stitching had worn away. Fixing it with cross stitch was like giving it a skin graft and, remembering the house’s earlier history as a hospital, I wanted to care for the loved furniture as one would a human body.
